I learned a lot about these favorites of mine, but I didn't remember what they did in the rain. It's worth watching, if you haven't already seen it. I haven't seen any hummers here since Sunday when there were two juveniles--I think--still flying about the garden. With the temperatures due to drop drastically tomorrow, I certainly hope they're well on their way to someplace warm.Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-82578632491668343652018-10-03T15:37:31.244-04:002018-10-03T15:37:31.244-04:00All our hummingbirds have migrated south by now. We have one species, the Anna's Hummingbird, that has decided over the last couple of decades, to stay here for the winter.outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-49381414498256541012018-10-02T23:30:59.566-04:002018-10-02T23:30:59.566-04:00Most of their favorite flowers are finished here. ...Most of their favorite flowers are finished here. Thanks for the facts about how they deal with the heavy rains--I've always marveled at how they can fly through the rain. I have one feeder under an overhang--and that's a favorite stop for them during a downpour. :)Beth at PlantPostingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10473637655960119672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-75044252522046177012018-09-30T16:36:00.246-04:002018-09-30T16:36:00.246-04:00I read a novel, about finding a comatose hummingbi...I read a novel, about finding a comatose hummingbird. Currently, the underbrush is filled with white-throated sparrows. I love to hear their calls.Eliza Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06879335295393594236noreply@blogger.com
