I have never seen those birds in my garden, but we do have Eastern Phoebes, who nest each year in the crook of a gutter downspout attached to our house. I enjoy their chirping outside my bedroom window.debsgardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15656883577922890561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-27820080523211238682017-12-03T22:57:26.014-05:002017-12-03T22:57:26.014-05:00So nice to see Red House photos of birds. Unfortunately it also attracted the ants, so I need to figure that problem out if I want to put them up again. Hopefully if I put it up again, it will attract the orioles!Indiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14004102653896371835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-70960321453082518502017-11-25T08:36:05.028-05:002017-11-25T08:36:05.028-05:00We did! They do come down to eat the aphids that my birch gets every year, but other than that they seem to stick to the tree tops.Indiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14004102653896371835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770960028868336157.post-48944961725003780582017-11-25T08:31:13.102-05:002017-11-25T08:31:13.102-05:00I do hope they come back! The Orioles show up in May and stay through the summer. They love jelly and oranges. Unfortunately other birds also learn to like jelly, so our house is a midwestern hotspot for grape jelly consumption.
