Bloomin' Tuesday

A look at some of the flowers blooming in my garden in this August heat:

Cosmos!
The petunias and zinnias are still going strong:
A surprise - my johnny jump-ups that I started from seed early spring have been going all summer.  They are such friendly looking things, but they have grit!
Here they are next to a couple fading hosta blooms:
And the bloom tour wouldn't be complete without looking at the butterfly bush blooms!  Here is a Nanho Blue and a Santana (which as you can tell is very beloved by the butterflies):

Happy Tuesday!

  3. Indie, Your coreopsis are lovely. Looking to go back and read your post on clematis pruning too. You asked about the daylilies in my post with on gardening for butterflies: Frans Hals. I just love them, too! One of my favorites.
    Hugs, Beth

  4. Thanks, Beth! I'm looking to put in some daylilies at some point since they have such a hardy reputation. Those Frans Hals were gorgeous!

  5. I have some of those same cosmos. I love them -- so bright and perky.

Aren't butterfly bushes fun? Mine are not blooming yet.

    Thanks for the vist!
