ReplyDeleteGreat post! I missed the lizard, too, despite looking at an enlargement of the photo for some time. Camouflage is one of nature's miracles. I never get tired of admiring how perfectly wildlife are suited to their surroundings.

ReplyDeleteIsn't the camouflage amazing! I would never have seen half of the animals if they hadn't moved before freezing into position. I'm pretty sure that the lizard was a little baby one since I've seen a much larger one around. Poor thing was probably scared - it froze into position on that log, and I had time to go get my camera and take lots of pics before it finally took off once I stepped away.

OK I thought you were tricking me, you know, adding in the creatures later in the enlargements, because obviously there was nothing in the first pictures. (I would never alter a photograph on MY blog-- or mostly never-- well ok sometimes, because it's quite fun...) Then I went back to the first images and there they all were. Which just supports my theory that I need new glasses and not just trifocals, I'm going for quad-focals. Very fun post! (I do remember Waldo--)
